I have spent my entire adult life studying and researching the female body and its reactions and responses to pregnancy, birth, and childhood. Most of it has been done with the mindset of preparing myself for my own motherhood journey, though now I have found that I have accumulated so many resources that I want to be able to share with other women who are going similar life journeys as I am! So while I don't have any official certifications, and don't claim to, I do have the ability to point women in the direction of some of my favorite resources, there from which they can dive deeper! I do plan on getting my Doula certification in the next year or so - I would be doing it now, but I feel like beginning that journey on the cusp of delivering my second baby wouldn't be ideal - haha!

Gabrielle Nancarrow has two PHENOMENAL books that I highly recommend reading. They are raw, inspiring, and full of useful and applicable knowledge for these fragile stages of life. Bridget Teyler is another person who does phenomenal work, which has very directly impacted both of my pregnancies and my first birth, though I am definitely planning to use all of the knowledge I have acquired from her with my upcoming labor/birth as well!

I 100% believe western medicine, as practiced in the US, has it's place and is so beneficial in endless situations. However, having been failed by the medical system many times myself, along with having first hand experience with how holistic practices can be easier and more effective, I find myself steering further and further away from the over reliance on western medicine, and relying more on natural approaches to helping my body, along with anyones who asks me for guidance.
